Platinum plans cover 90% of the costs and leave the consumer responsible for 10% of the costs. These plans are good for:

Gold plans cover 80% of the costs and leave the consumer responsible for 20% of the costs. These plans are good for:
- Consumers with lots of doctor visits and/or prescriptions

Silver plans cover 70% of the costs and leave the consumer responsible for 30% of the costs. These plans are good for:
- Consumers who qualify to save on out-of-pocket costs, based on income and household size.
- Infrequent medical services or prescription needs.
Bronze plans cover 60% of the costs and leave the consumer responsible for 40% of the costs. These plans are good for:
- Infrequent medical services or prescription needs.
